Consumer Inquiry
How to File an Inquiry
FactorTrust is a Consumer Reporting Agency that provides lenders with a Consumer
Risk Indicator Score (CRIS). The CRIS, along with consumer information from a variety
of third party service providers, assist lenders in reducing their risk as an underwriter
of consumer credit. If a consumer or lender identifies incorrect data or questions
the CRIS, based on information provided by FactorTrust or one of their third party
service providers, they may request an investigation free of charge using the process
described below.
To file a credit request denial inquiry with FactorTrust the consumer or lender
will complete the Customer Inquiry Form (Inquiry Form) and fax it to FactorTrust
Customer Care. FactorTrust will investigate your inquiry directly with the third
party service provider or internally and respond to you within 30 to 45 days by
US Postal Service.
Inquiry Method
The consumer or lender will click on the Inquiry Form, download the form, complete
and sign the Inquiry Form, make a copy of their driver’s license, and fax both of
them to FactorTrust Customer Care. The Consumer Inquiry Report will be mailed to
the address listed on the form. If the Consumer Inquiry Form is not signed in the
designated place, and a copy of the consumer’s driver’s license is not submitted
via fax, the inquiry will not be considered.
FactorTrust can only investigate reported information as provided by third party
service providers. Identified errors will be reported back to the provider.
